Today we looked at the pros and cons of technology in
education. We did a debate on the advantages of the old technology versus that
of the new technology. We identified the six types of media and looked at the
importance of technology and media in education. Finally we looked at the three
main learning styles.
I believe that educators should integrate technology in
today’s classroom so as to appeal to the learners of today who spend a
considerable amount of time interfacing with the modern forms of technology.
Using technology in the classroom will also make learning more vivid and
interesting for students.
I believe that using technology in the classroom will allow
teaching to become revolutionary in the Caribbean and provide the necessary
break from the old ways of teaching or instructing students.
